The process of ordering custom-made jewelry:
1. Get to know the creators
Get to know the creators and choose an artist/designer/goldsmith whose style resonates with you! When creating custom-made jewelry, it’s important that you choose a maker who understands your vision and whose style matches your taste. This way, working together is enjoyable for both parties. It is also extremely important to ensure that the maker is trustworthy. A reliable maker guarantees that your dream jewelry not only meets your expectations but is also of high quality and durable.
2. Initial idea and gathering inspiration
Review our previous works or seek inspiration elsewhere. It’s important to get an idea of what speaks to you – the final idea does not need to be set in stone! If desired, save images, sketch, or make notes that you can later share with us to clarify your vision. Definitely consider your budget as well, so that we can offer you the most suitable solutions.
PS! You can come to us without any prior preparation, and we can certainly plan together on the spot. Preparation simply often speeds up mutual understanding and helps you understand at your own pace what you want.
3. Booking a meeting
Firstly, if you are unsure about when to contact us, our answer is always – the sooner the better. If you leave your order until the last minute, you may find that your choices are limited or you are too late. We receive clients at our studio at Pärnu mnt 154, Tallinn, generally from Monday to Thursday, 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, but we are flexible and, if necessary and possible, are available at other times as well. Please be sure to arrange the meeting time in advance, or at least call before coming to ensure that someone is indeed available at the studio.
4. Meeting
At the location, we can discuss your wishes, take necessary measurements, and jointly establish the further plan. In our studio, it is also possible to view various samples (mainly wedding rings), which will definitely help in selecting the right ring.
5. Design and Quotation
After the meeting, we will prepare the design(s) (if needed) and a quotation based on your wishes. If there is a need for modifications, we are always ready to adjust. Upon confirmation of the offer, we will send an advance payment invoice (½ of the total amount), and upon its payment, we will start the manufacturing of the jewelry. The remaining half of the amount is due upon completion of the jewelry.
6. Further Schedule and the making
During peak season, we make orders according to deadlines and there is no specific waiting time. So far, we have never been late in completing an order with a definite deadline (e.g., wedding rings). It’s just important to notify us in time if the date we initially discussed has changed (e.g., you leave town two weeks before the wedding, etc.). We do everything possible to ensure that the rings are ready for your wedding day – if something should go completely wrong, we will even deliver them to the wedding location ourselves!
If necessary, we will call you for a fitting; if there is no need for one, we will inform you when the jewelry is ready. We prefer personal delivery, but if necessary, the jewelry can also be sent.
Remember that a personal and meaningful piece of jewelry is something that becomes a part of you and could potentially be passed down to future generations. Finding the right jeweler is therefore very important.
